JASCO- Premium Paint and Epoxy Remover

Here at Kansas city exotic woodworks we also do custom furniture refinishing for people here. This product was bought at a big box store. Im sure this product can be available for most people at their local hardware store. This can be home depot, lowe’s, ace hardware or any of your favorite place. I’ve used various other chemical varnish removers and I saw this and I was like lets give it a try.

Jasco paint and epoxy remover is a gel type varnish remover. This stuff is quite thick and your suppose to brush it on and let it soak for a few hours up to 12 hours in some cases. This stuff is really good if you are trying to remove varnish agains something that is vertically positioned. This still requires all the PPE that you should be using. Thick chemical resistant gloves, eye proction, a breather or respirator. The use of a either metal scrapper or plastic scrapper is also needed. We at KC exotic woodwoodworks use a plastic scrapper because we don’t want to gouge the wood, which is something that could happen with a metal scrapper.

This masco paint and epoxy remover does do a pretty decent job and breaking down epoxy. We applied some of this product on some old epoxy we had applied to some wood. After about an hour it had soften the epoxy some, and after about a few hours we we're able to remove about 1/2 thick epoxy. This product works better for epoxy removal than paint or varnish we think.

Here at KC exotic woodworks we are always looking for and always trying new products to help us do our job a little quicker if possible. But in the end our end goal is to bring back the beauty, of that special heirloom piece you own back to it’s beautiful state. We take the upmost care and time in either building, refinishing, and finishing.

Our experience with this jasco paint and epoxy remover here at Kansas City exotic woodworks was a good one. This is not going to be our go to for varnish removing, because it did take a few applications while some other’s did a much better job on the first try.

Thanks for reading this y'all we really appreciate it here at Kansas City Exotic Woodworks.
